The Jet 12 has a size and shape specifically tailored to kids' smaller frames. It's designed for ages 8-15 years, but kids have used it as young as 5/6. That's quite a span of time- and it will hold up that long! This pack is well constructed and sturdy.


Keeping children equipped comfortably can help ensure a positive hiking experience. Osprey's patented AirScape™ backpanel has foam ridges that help it sit off the back, encouraging good ventilation and allowing sweat to wick. And Osprey comes through with the comfortable straps it is known for- here an edgeless fleece-lined shoulder harness.


The Jet 12 is lightweight, has a wide opening for its main pocket making it easy for kids to get in and out of, and lots of accessory inner and outer pockets for all of the essentials. The signature zipper pulls are a favorite- they are ideal for smaller hands to grab and make for easy navigation of the pack. There is a hydration reservoir sleeve placed on the outside for convenient filling, and there are reflective details for added visibility and safety.
